One of best tasting room experiences. They really do things the right way here, like pouring all of the cabernets at once so you can go back while tasting. Really cool. They poured the cabs from low to higher elevation.
2007 Andolsen Cabernet Sauvignon
5% Cabernet Franc, 18 months in French oak
Lots of tannins, nice dark fruit, light floral notes
2006 Monte Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon
Very light fruit on the nose, jammy fruit, bigger mouthfeel, tannins
2006 Cimarosa Cabernet Sauvignon
Darker fruit on the nose with some floral notes, smooth tannins, sweeter fruit on the finish
2006 Rancho del Oso
Nose with something herbal like tea with fruit underneath, bigger, brighter fruit, some spice, darker color
2007 Gamble Ranch Chardonnay
Bold nose, apple, vanilla, high alcohol, a little light spice, stone fruit, ripe citrus, long, full finish and a nice, big mouthfeel
2006 Italo's Vineyard Zinfandel
Bright fruit on the nose, dark sweet fruit, berries, no tannins
79 year old vines, 10% carignane, 5% petite sirah
2007 Gino's Vineyard Zinfandel
Porty nose, big, jammy fruit, smooth tannins, pepper, spicy finish. 51 year old vines, same blend as above
2006 La Promessa Zinfandel
Lighter porty nose, dark fruit, more concentrated, more tannins
6 year old vines, 5% petite sirah
