Dutton Goldfield

We stopped here mainly because someone at Rochioli gave us a coupon and said we should check it out.  The wines were overall good, but seemed a little overpriced.  The tasting room was nice.


2007 Dutton Ranch Chardonnay
Pretty good, nothing too special


2008 Rued Vineyard Chardonnay
Nice big fruit, really good, would have bought for less than $45


2008 Dutton Ranch Pinot Noir
Cherry, some spice, tannins, needs time in the bottle


2007 Cherry Ridge Syrah
Concentrated, thick fruit up front, then leather.  Like licking black cherry jam off a saddle


2008 Stoetz Vineyard Zinfandel
Nice light red fruit, falls flat on the finnish


2006 Sanchietti Vineyard Pinot Noir
The nose of a port or desert wine
